Getting your senior photos is an excited part of being a senior! those memories will last and will show one of the most exciting times in your life, but when is the perfect time of year to do those photos?

To be honest it is totally up to you, your likes, your schedule and the vision you have for the photos but I will give you 3 reasons that hopefully help you get a better understanding of why fall is one of the top seasons for senior photo sessions, and why it is so popular in Atlanta.

WHY BOOK YOUR SENIOR PHOTOS DURING FALL

1. As an Atlanta senior photographer who understand light and location I can confident say that the number one reason to book your session during fall should be the  Golden light, if you enjoy the outdoors, sunsets and appreciate light, then you do not need more explanation. Late September and October are the months that in my opinion will produce the best photos highlighting just that, sunrise and sunsets are deep and rich in color giving the entire scene a beautiful golden tone. Also, during fall the days started to get shorter and will give photographers more time to shoot during the day.
2. Weather and outfits,you can be more creative with your outfit selection, use different layers, rich colors, add more contrast and sweaters!! those photograph beautifully Delicate patterns such as small florals, simple plaids, light stripes are another way to add variety to your outfits.
3. Foliage, this one is a big one but only if you like the contrast in colors that nature will provide, shades of greens, orange, yellow and reds.                                                                                                                              When days are warm & sunny and the nights are cool, but not freezing, the colors will be stronger and more vibrant.
